I am a senior undergraduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University, currently doing research at EPFL's Image and Visual Representation Lab, where I work on expanding the dynamic range of images using diffusion models. The aim is to recover detail that consumer camera sensors clip away. I also work with the Koç Lab at Bilkent on graph signal processing and graph neural networks. What ties my interests together is a liking for the mathematics underneath signal processing and learning: where a problem becomes tractable once you find the right representation for it.

Outside research I run, and I produce and write music. Five original songs published so far.

Research interests

Signal processing
Classical and graph signal processing, including how graph structure can be used to represent and classify time series.
Machine learning
Graph neural networks, and generative models, particularly diffusion models applied to inverse problems in imaging.
Image processing and computer vision
Dynamic range expansion, RAW and linear-RGB reconstruction, and low-level vision.
Applied mathematics
Probability, statistics, and game theory, and the places they meet engineering problems.
